A New FalWriting Series

Welcome to The Green Line, a series that looks directly at the personal experiences our community has with climate change.

For the past few months, we have been working on curating a collection of creative and critical pieces from the students of Falmouth University as part of our Third Year Collaborative Project. Over the next month, stretching into the New Year, we will be publishing ten pieces written by our fellow students and some special pieces by featured guests.

Dealing with the topic of the current climate crisis is something that we believe to be an important subject in today’s society. From Extinction Rebellion to plastic pollution, these issues are at the forefront of many people’s minds, so we put this at the centre of our collaboration. We wanted this series to be for everyone, whether you’re experienced or new to the topic, we hope that there will be a piece of work that eases you into the debate or inspires you as the series takes shape.

Our focus: Climate Change

We are interested in how the individual responds to the climate crisis and how these thoughts manifest themselves into writing. We have a range of pieces, from short stories and articles to personal editorials and poetry, so we hope you can find something that suits your taste.

Read our first piece, an editorial about recycling, tomorrow!

If you want to respond or talk to us about any of the pieces, you can contact us at: @TheGreenLine4 on Twitter.

We hope you enjoy the series and find the posts as enlightening and interesting as we have.
