FalWriting's Ghost Stories: Enter our 500-Word Ghost Story Contest
To celebrate Halloween this year, FalWriting is hosting a 500-words Ghost Story contest. Submissions are due in on Monday 18th November.
To enter the contest:
Submit your short story by 5pm on November 18th by sending me an email to Sherezade Garcia Rangel. On the subject line please include: Ghost Story Contest Entry by Your Name
Don’t include your name in the document itself
Submissions should be in .doc or .pdf
Word count: 500 words max
All submissions should be double spaced, 12pt and in a plain serif font such as Garamond, Georgia or Times New Roman
Use single quotation marks for dialogue
Use single space between sentences
Include a short, 30 words bio
Short listed stories will be read outloud on a showcase, details of which will be confirmed doon. The winner and the runner up will be announced on the same showcase. There will also be a popular vote winner, selected by the audience. Current students and SOWJ alumni are eligible to apply.
The winner and a runner up will be published in FalWriting and on a special audio episode on Ghost Stories.
Entries will be judged by Dark Economies Research Lead Dr Ruth Heholt, by On The Hill’s founder & host Dr Sherezade Garcia and Night Wanderers and Infinite Sky author Chelsey Flood.
