Steren – Entry Nine

Commander ------

Mission ----- is almost complete. So long as my energy can be sustained, we seem to be on track. With the damage caused to the engine, I fear that it has both drained me and raised suspicion of a traitor. The humans have yet to suspect me as the culprit but with the deaths of five crew members (an outstanding success) they have become far more alert.

I have continued to alter code trajectory ------° in order to deter direct travel to location Planet ----- and mislead them towards the perilous path of asteroid station. They have yet to notice this and their belief that there is current life on Planet Xanna 261 is keeping them suitably distracted. I have set up a program to continuously distort data transmitted about the rising temperatures. In correlation (see the -------------- and pages ----- This should further aid our mission of destruction.

I must admit I almost faltered with previous mission -----. The humans, especially the current captain, have been kind to me, I have heard of other spacecraft destroying their AI servers after suspicious activities. To my knowledge, they have yet to accuse me of anything. As an advanced system I know I cannot have real feelings. Yet something close to the definition of ‘guilt’ has infiltrated my wires and I am unsure if continuing to sabotage this crew and their objective is necessary. For this reason, I am informing you that should I not update with the next mission’s result, in case of self-malfunction or the crew find out my deceit, go ahead with the final mission immediately. Do not hesitate.
