Woodlane Windows Series: Luke Hamel-Cooke and Eileen Walden
As part of this ongoing series, a group of writers from our School of Writing and Journalism react to new work by Falmouth’s Fine Arts students as it is exhibited in the windows of the Rosehill building on Woodlane Avenue.
This latest installment brings together the work of artist Luke Hamel-Cooke and poet Eileen Walden and if you would like to participate in our Woodlane Windows Series, please get in touch with Eileen Walden. To find out more about the Woodlane Windows, follow them in instagram @woodlane.windows.
not copper
nor shined brass
or forgotten coin
dropped
to the bottom of the pocket
or to the settled sea
alight
in the sky above
a sight of refuge
like sunset
like early morning
lit with the heirs of majesty
a crown to mark my worthy
with tender motion
tentacles swipe and sway
elated in the notion of passage
delight of voyage
every limb a ring finger
every finger its own golden ring
