BookBound 2020 is a new, online literary festival which is aiming to raise funds for the mental health charity Mind. It takes place from 27 April to 3 May 2020 and it features a host of well-known authors and new voices from around the globe.

Our very own Chelsey Flood will be in conversation with Clare Pooley, author of Mummy Was a Secret Drinker about the joys and struggles of being sober and writing about it.

Chelsey is also hosting a YA event with Holly Bourne, bestselling and critically acclaimed author of Am I Normal Yet? and publishing sensation Intisar Khanani, author of Thorn. This event will be all about how to create authentic young voices for a contemporary audience, and will appeal to students hoping to do the same.

There are lots of other exciting events to choose from featuring authors such as Simon Webb, Nikesh Shukla, our own (sort of) Cathy Rentzenbrink, Max Porter, Nathan Filer and Sarah Perry, and also two storytimes a day for those of you with little people to take care of.

All events will be available to view for free on the festival YouTube channel. Search ‘BookBound 2020’. You can also access the BookBound 2020 Festival channel here.
