Fall 2021 Update

The new semester has started, the days are getting shorter, and there is a new chill in the air. We are all back on campus now, and although we aren’t entirely free from the specter of Covid, life is looking a lot closer to normal than it has for a couple of years. There has been one big change in the department: Chelsey Flood has moved on to a new position in Bristol. Although we were all disappointed to see her go, we understood. That was a long commute! We miss her but we are excited for this new opportunity, and we are sure her students at UWE will be as fond of her as we are.

We have two new Associate Lecturers this year as well: Eoin Murray and Clare Howdle. Introductions are forthcoming.

Also, we’re on the lookout for a new team of student editors for Falwriting. There will be a meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 1.30pm on Teams to discuss it. If you’re interested, please either check your email for the invitation or contact me (Marshall) at marshall.moore at falmouth dot ac dot uk.
