Jenny is also a fiction author herself, and has written a number of historical novels under different pen names. Writing as Kitty Danton, she has published three books of a planned five-book saga featuring heroine Evie Yeo, set in Jenny’s native Devon during WW2.
Writing as Katie King, has written two more WW2 novels – The Evacuee Christmas, published in 2017, and The Evacuee Summer, published in 2018. Both novels centre around twins Connie and Jessie Ross and their aunt Peggy, who are sent from their home in Bermondsey’s docklands to live in Harrogate, Yorkshire to avoid the Blitz. The third book in the proposed trilogy, The Evacuee Blitz is due to be published later this year.

About Oneworld Publications
Founded in Oxford in 1986 by husband and wife team Juliet Mabey and Novin Doostdar, Oneworld Publications is an independent, family-owned book publisher.
In their own words, they are committed ‘to the old-fashioned principles of great writing, editorial excellence, high production values, and marketing flair, to produce books that are read by the intellectually curious all over the world’, with a fiction list that showcases intelligent, challenging, and distinctive novels that sit at the intersection of the literary and the commercial: emotionally engaging stories with strong narratives and distinctive voices.
Originally set up with the purpose of publishing non-fiction titles to market to a wider audience than the usual academic circles, Oneworld added a fiction list in 2009.
In 2015 they launched a Young Adult imprint, Rock the Boat, and in 2016 they added their literary crime imprint, Point Blank. In recent years, Oneworld has risen to prominence by publishing back to back Man Booker Prize winners; Marlon James’s A Brief History of Seven Killings in 2015, and Paul Beatty’s The Sellout in 2016.
Their current roster of authors includes Alain De Botton, Gloria Steinem, Will Dean, Ali Carter, Pulitzer Prize winner Junot Diaz, Tayari Jones, and our very own Amy Lilwall.
