An Evening of Poetry & ... Marine Science?
On Wednesday, 22 March, Lecturer and poet Dr Luke Thompson will be reading his work as part of the Crosscurrents project, organised by Plymouth Marine Laboratory and Plymouth University.
This will be an evening of science, poetry and discussion, featuring talks and readings from five pairs of poets and scientists who have been working together to explore subjects ranging from algal blooms to ecosystem modelling, renewable energy to microplastics.
Luke will be reading alongside nationally recognised writers including Andy Brown, Isabel Galleymore, and Miriam Darlington.
The event is free, and will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the Marine Matters Centre, Plymouth Marine Laboratory.
