To get to know our first years, we decided to ask them eleven questions from the famous Proust Questionnaire. In this first installment of the series, we catch up with English student Niamh Hitchmough who provided some really interesting answers.
1. What is your favourite word?
Crepuscular or foliage.
2. What is your least favourite word?
Moist, like.
3. Which talent would you most like to have?
Anything musical – guitar, singing, etc. Or languages!
4. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Travelling independently.
5. Who is your hero of Fiction?
Writers – the Brontë sisters.
Characters – Neville Longbottom, Mariana by Monica Dickens.
6. Who are your heroes in real life?
My parents.
7. What is your greatest extravagance?
Gym.
8. What do you most value in your friends?
Honesty and eccentricity.
9. What sound or noise do you love?
Rain.
10. What sound or noise do you hate?
People chewing or cracking their knuckles or bones!
11. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
