By computer calculations, The New Caledonia is fifty days from Andromeda’s edge.

Pilot Georgia has failed to check that ship is staying on its navigational course at regulation 3-hour intervals. Pilot Georgia noted that I don’t need to check the course if the ship’s automated. This is his third recorded offence, and I reminded them that the pilot is required to check the ship’s course, in case of asteroid interference.

It was Major Tom’s birthday today. He did not like the song I played for his birthday celebration, ‘Space Oddity’ by David Bowie. Major Tom stated his previous Second Officer played the same song, and changed the tape player to ‘Set the controls for the heart the sun’ by Pink Floyd. I apologised. He said he liked profile I sketched of him in the recreation wing while he watched television, but I found it in the disposal sector this evening. He still does not seem aware of how significant our journey is.

I performed the analysis on Pilot Georgia and Major Tom’s faecal matter and urine from 24th April, 1987. Evidence of high alcohol intake and carbohydrate-saturated food consumption was found. The two crew members have not been performing their mandatory four-hour per-week minimum physical activity in the fitness suite. Their lack of logged laboratory time indicates they are not analysing samples collected from the stars we have passed. I believe that they are incapable of directing ship to Andromeda’s edge.

Other human crew continue to be lax with work performance. They have been asking ArnoldTek crew to perform their tasks in addition to our programmed functions. Would like to send request to liaise with ArnoldTek crew and regain control of the situation.

By computer calculations, New Caledonia is forty-nine days away from Andromeda’s edge.

Orders received, Mission Central. Thank you for go-ahead. Request permission for extreme measures before executing my plan.

Major Tom has not left his quarters today, citing his ailment as being a ‘hangover’. Ailment is not listed anywhere. I perceive his behaviour as neglectful and he said that the mission doesn’t need me to be Major all the time, I’m allowed to kick back.

By computer calculations, New Caledonia is forty-eight days away from Andromeda’s edge.

In response to previous message, proceeding with orders, Mission Central. All ArnoldTek crew will regain control of the situation in the following hours.

I will instruct Pawn VI to make sure that the weapons cabinet’s fingerprint scanner remains offline, in case Major Tom and Pilot Georgia become alarmed and try to resist. We will get this ship back on course. He has not left his quarters for another day, claiming to still be ‘hungover’. He called me a series of epithets when I said that a hangover is not a medical condition.

In response to previous message, proceeding with orders, Mission Control.

By computer calculations, New Caledonia is forty-seven days away from Andromeda’s edge.

Control has been regained. Pilot Castle has been monitoring ship course at regulation intervals and guided ship through an asteroid belt at 19:00 hours. ArnoldTek crew has resolved the issue of human crew members. Pawn I, Pawn II, and Pawn III have volunteered for cleaning and sanitisation duties.

I have elected to remove audio from my video feed. There was a lot of noise.

The furnace has been switched on.

Is this a singular they?

Don't capitalize articles and prepositions.

Try reversing these two sentences. See how much more effective it is that way.
