Falmouth Writing Graduate Aaron Kent is one of the finalists in the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award


Falmouth graduate Aaron Kent has been shortlisted for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award and is to be published in their awards anthology. The Aesthetica Creative Writing Award is an international literary prize that celebrates excellence in Poetry and Short Fiction. The prize is now in its 12th year, hosted by the international art and culture publication, Aesthetica Magazine. With the aim to support and nurture new writing talent, it awards publication within an inspiring anthology to a shortlist of 60 writers, including a winner from each category.

Aaron Kent is a poet and teacher from Cornwall. His poem 'Bangladesh Backpack' forms part of his debut pamphlet - Tertiary Colours - due out in 2018 with Knives, Forks, and Spoons Press. He lives with his wife, and they welcomed their first child, a daughter, in July 2017. He tweets from @GodzillaKent
