Falmouth graduate Sarah Cave, who went on to complete a Creative Writing MA at Royal Holloway, and senior lecturer & poet Rupert Loydell recently collaborated on a booklet of poems, Impossible Songs (Analogue Flashback, 2017), a gathering of poems reinventing, and at a tangent to, ideas of annunciation.

Moomins, Jim Morrison, bears, the CIA, snow, hermits and various painters and paintings all appear in the poems.

The online journal Gists & Piths is current serialising a conversation by the authors about their own and each other’s work.

Or as the editor, George Ttoouli, puts it ‘They talk about ekphrasis, religion, philosophy, nests and pick'n'mix. Also poetry.’ You can find their discussion at http://gistsandpiths.blogspot.co.uk/
