Colouring in Cornwall
Gabby reviews graduate-run Penryn Press's most recent publication, Colour In Cornwall.
Colour in Cornwall is a colouring book produced and published by Penryn Press, a student led publishing house that works with students at both Falmouth and Exeter Universities, as well as local artists and writers.
Beautiful illustrations by a team of artists are paired with short snippets of poetry by Sam Neave to create a wonderfully immersive and light-hearted experience of the Cornish landscape and attractions.
There are 22 pages to colour, with immediately recognisable places such as Beerwolf Books and the Minack theatre, and more everyday sights like surfers and sea cliffs.
The team at Penryn Press have done a brilliant job in taking one of the most popular new trends and giving it a Cornish twist. It’s perfect as a gift to share the local sights with someone, or as a reminder of your favourite places when you’re away. It could even be an incentive to go travelling - match the picture with the view and colour from life.
Either way this book is a lovely addition to your bookshelf and will bring you hours of enjoyment, as well as a means of supporting a local small press.
Available to buy online tor on campus in the FXU office.
